Cognitive Developer. Data Scientist. Amateur Artist.
I'm a Cognitive Software Engineer with Data Science, Marketing at IBM Watson Customer Engagement. I graduated with a Masters in Computer Science from University of Pennsylvania in 2017.
I live in San Francisco where I spend my time learning Datatongue1 and sometimes pleading with datasets to reveal the mysteries of the universe to me. I'm also an NLP2 enthusiast and like to ponder over challenges in computational linguistics. I dabble in other activities like writing, cooking and painting when I need a break from computers.
I'm extremely passionate about encouraging women in technology. I'm also a believer in exposing children early on to the world of Computer Science and the exciting and challenging problems that can be solved through it. Minerva Tantoco, CTO, New York City rightly said that coding is a superpower.
I love being a part of something that delivers a change. The impact of a project is a huge motivator for me. If you think I might be a good fit for something, I'd love to talk!
I'm currently volunteering at the San Francisco Public Library and recently mentored high school students as part of AI4ALL . I'm also channeling my passion for cooking towards an Instagram account @noworryculinary . I'm conducting a free two-part Intro to Python workshop at the San Francisco Public Library on 9th and 16th June, 2018. More details here .
